Bill has served in the risk management and insurance fields since 1978. He holds a Master of Arts degree from Boston College and a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Assumption College, as well as numerous additional credits and courses. Bill has earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designations and is a Licensed Insurance Advisor (LIA).
Bill specializes in business risk analysis, alternative risk/Captive programs, and risk management audits. He has handled a myriad of risk areas for large corporations, public entities, financial institutions, hospitals, and higher education. He has written and spoken often over his career on a wide range of risk management, including 17 National RIMS presentations.

Sonya joined InterContinental at the end of 2006, bringing 16 years of diverse risk management and insurance experience. She has particular experience in directors and officers and management liability, as well as contractual liability issues. Sonya is a frequent speaker on directors and officers liability, business continuity and general risk management topics.
Sonya has worked with a myriad of client industry groups including healthcare, technology, education, finance, non-profit and retail. She partners with clients on identifying, assessing and addressing exposures to risk within an organization. She is a client advocate with the insurance markets in structuring and securing unparalleled coverage terms and competitive pricing. Sonya's experience includes risk management and insurance advisory services for clients engaged in liquidation and reorganization.
Prior to joining InterContinental in 2006, Sonya worked with national and regional brokerage firms, as well as a premier independent insurance consulting firm. She has past experience as a liability claims manager for a global insurance carrier and as a paralegal for a Boston law firm specializing in insurance defense.
A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Sonya is a Licensed Broker, Licensed Insurance Advisor and holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations. She is pursuing the Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designation. Sonya served as the Chairperson for the Ethics Committee for the National CPCU Society from 2004-2007.
