Matt has been a specialist in servicing the professional and general liability insurance needs of the healthcare industry for more than fifteen years. He has served in a number of business development and account servicing roles while working for two of the most prominent medical professional liability carriers in the region. He has extensive experience in litigation and risk management on behalf of healthcare clients, as well as evaluating and underwriting various healthcare risks. Over the years, he has worked directly with many healthcare, legal and insurance professionals alike, providing risk management consultation and sharing his market and product knowledge. He has also worked as medical professional liability claim representative and manager, evaluating and resolving hundreds of actual cases and monitoring numerous malpractice trials. In this role, Matt worked very closely with a wide variety of healthcare professionals and their legal counsel. This hands-on experience has positioned him in a unique role of claims advocate for our clients.

Matt also has coordinated and provided issue-specific risk management education to healthcare professionals. He has authored articles on claims and risk management issues as well as the medical professional liability insurance marketplace. He is a member and has served on the boards of the Massachusetts Society for Healthcare Risk Management and the Boston Chapter of the CPCU Society. He is also a member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, the Northern New England Society for Healthcare Risk Management and a former member of the Boston Association of Claims Executives. He has earned the designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Risk Management from the American Institute for CPCU and the Insurance Institute of America.
