Bob also has extensive experience with Provider Stop Loss Insurance (Reinsurance for Capitation) for IPAs and PHOs. Thorough this experience, he has developed an in-depth understanding of the relationships between hospitals, PHOs and IPAs with the various segments of the industry. The expertise required for special insurance products by these organizations has expanded to include Directors & Officers Liability Insurance and Errors & Omissions Insurance. Prior to insurance brokerage, Bob spent fifteen years in the reinsurance business as a vice president of a large international reinsurance company responsible for all individual insured casualty. In addition to providing reinsurance for large, complicated and/or high hazard exposures that standard insurance companies typically would not insure, his department also was responsible for reinsuring Captives, Risk Retention Groups and other Alternative Risk vehicles. He was instrumental in the development of a captive for a large for-profit hospital chain. His experience also includes working for an insurance company specializing in Workers Compensation. A Master of Business Administration from Georgia State
University with a focus on insurance, Bob also earned his Chartered Property
and Casualty Underwriting (CPCU) designation and is active in the Professional
Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS).
